OUR LATEST INVESTMENT… A NEW ROTOGRAVURE PRINTER FOR OUR VILLARRUBIA PLANT!

As part of our on-going policy to invest in better infrastructures and equipment, we are pleased to announce that we have reached a purchase agreement with German industrial supplies company, WINDMÖLLER & HÖLSCHER. We will acquire a new nine-unit rotogravure printer for our Villarrubia factory. Not only is this the leading printing system on the market, it will also give us the option of offering print registration lacquers and cold seal adhesive.

With cold seal, we can cold weld onto the substrate (pressure only), which means we can use it with print registration. Its main uses include items such as chocolates, dietetic products, biscuits, ice-creams and special offers (trading card packs).

The purchase is yet another example of continued innovation at SPG and, as our flagship printer, it will take us to the next level in capacity and functionality. We expect it to be up and running by late March 2024 and it will allow us to increase our production capacity and improve our overall efficiency. At SPG, we are incredibly excited about the opportunities that this new rotogravure printer represents.
