SPG launches a technical guide to optimise packaging processes and improve line efficiency

In increasingly demanding production environments, the correct selection of materials and printing systems has become a key factor in ensuring efficiency, product quality and industrial competitiveness.

With this in mind, SPG has developed a new technical guide aimed at helping industry professionals gain a deeper understanding of their packaging processes and make more informed decisions when selecting materials and technologies.

This guide has been created in response to a common reality in production: not all materials are compatible with all packaging lines. An incorrect choice can lead to sealing issues, inefficiencies in production, increased waste or even impact the final product quality.

The document provides a structured overview of the key factors involved in the process, including:

  • Identification of machinery type (vertical, horizontal, thermoforming or heat sealing) and its technical implications
  • Material selection based on production processes (cold seal vs heat seal, pasteurisation or sterilisation)
  • Compatibility between material structure and line performance
  • Selection of the most appropriate printing system depending on run length, quality requirements and available technology

In addition, the guide includes practical recommendations aimed at optimising industrial performance, reducing operational costs and minimising production issues.

With this initiative, SPG reinforces its role as a technical partner, providing not only packaging solutions but also applied knowledge that enables customers to improve efficiency and adapt to evolving market demands.permite a sus clientes mejorar la eficiencia de sus procesos y adaptarse a las exigencias del mercado.
