{"id":5943,"date":"2022-04-19T08:54:45","date_gmt":"2022-04-19T08:54:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.spg-pack.com\/spgproduct\/pp-hb-eco\/"},"modified":"2026-06-15T09:47:07","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T07:47:07","slug":"pp-hb-eco","status":"publish","type":"spgproduct","link":"https:\/\/www.spg-pack.com\/en\/spgproduct\/pp-hb-eco\/","title":{"rendered":"PP HB ECO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our sterilizable and recyclable PP HB ECO material is a polypropylene-based laminate with <strong>high-barrier properties<\/strong>, designed to replace non-recyclable structures containing aluminium foil, metallised coatings or multimaterial laminates.<\/p>\n<p>This structure has been developed by SP Group to provide FMCG companies with a solution aligned with the objective set by the European PPWR regulation: that all packaging placed on the European Union market must be recyclable by 2030, while also promoting reuse, waste reduction and the use of recycled materials where appropriate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PP HB ECO<\/strong> has been assessed by the <strong>CYCLOS-HTP Institute and certified as recyclable within the PP recycling stream<\/strong> already available in several European countries. PP HB ECO pouches have achieved a recyclability score of 91%, as the packaging is made almost entirely from polypropylene.<\/p>\n<p>As for <strong>PP HB ECO pouches with baby food spouts<\/strong>, CYCLOS-HTP assessed them through the rigid PP recycling pathway and certified the packaging with a recyclability score of 96%.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"h2producto\"><b>Properties:<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>It stands out for its high degree of transparency. It has a high barrier, and withstands heat treatments, such as sterilisation, pasteurisation, hot-fill and microwaving.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"h2producto\"><b>Applications:<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Market applications of this material<\/strong>: It is ideal for any products that require sterilisation treatment, such as sauces or food products containing some kind of sauce or liquid, as well as pre-prepared dishes.
