SP GROUP<\/strong> is committed to research and development to find environmentally friendly solutions that keep us moving forwards in terms of sustainability. This is why our R&D department is constantly immersed in new projects designed to develop new structures and packaging, but also to improve existing ones. Such is the case of our applications with SOL EFFICIENT<\/a><\/strong> and R-CLOSING HB EFFICIENT<\/a> <\/strong>top film. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOL EFFICIENT <\/strong>is an easy-peel flexible film for welding directly onto rPET<\/a> <\/strong>trays \u2013 a combination of top film and base web that makes it the perfect packaging solution. It has an oxygen barrier and water vapour barrier, and is a very tough, watertight, sustainable material. R-CLOSING HB EFFICIENT <\/strong>combines rigidity and flexibility, and is resealable. No chlorine products are used in the production process. It also ensures the lid closes smoothly and firmly on the tray, thereby increasing the period of preservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SP GROUP<\/strong> has worked on both structures to achieve\na density of <1 and comply with the requirements of the PLASTIC SENSE<\/strong>\nguide and the PETCORE <\/strong>guidelines. The requirements are that top films\nmust have a density of <1 for the PET trays to be recyclable. This is so\nthat the top film floats to the surface in the sink-float tank, while the PET\nsinks to the bottom. This way the PET flakes do not become contaminated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We should point out, however, that the conventional\nstructures are still available, in addition to these reformulations. This means\nclients can choose one or the other according to the degree of sustainability\nand recyclability they require. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
