PET PE

Very versatile double complex material that can be used in almost all formats. Good water-vapour and aroma barrier, very watertight.

PE ECO

Our PE ECO is a polyethylene-based complex. It is a 100%-recyclable mono-material, meaning it can replace non-recyclable structures. This material has been developed by SP Group to meet the guidelines set out by the European Commission to increase the recyclability of packaging. PE ECO has been added to our Eco Range, which contains all SP Group’s recyclable and mono-material packaging solutions.

Properties:

It stands out for its transparency and its capacity to withstand heat treatments such as pasteurisation, hot-fill and microwaving processes.

Applications:

Market applications for this material: Processed meat and dairy products, such as cured sausage products and cheese, frozen fish and seafood, dried fruit and other dried food products, ranging from spices and superfoods to cereals and legumes. It is also a good option for many products in the non-food sector, for example personal hygiene products, gels and shampoos, and cleaning products, among others.

rPET

Our thermoformable rPET monolayer laminate is made 100% from recycled material and is itself 100% recyclable. This facilitates its classification and recycling where the infrastructure exists to do so. Its excellent degree of transparency is comparable with products made from virgin plastic, and its specific mechanical properties ensure it will withstand any impact during the packaging process. SP GROUP rPET is entirely suitable for food use, and holds EFSA certificate No. 2017/4843.

Properties:

Very transparent, thermoformable, high chemical and heat resistance.
Applications: Trays for many products, including: cakes, biscuits, salads, and fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as other non-food products: perfumes, cosmetics and blister packs.

SOFT2TOUCH

When you want to stand out and attract consumers, you don’t just need a striking design, you also need to take the plunge and try new materials. SOFT2TOUCH is a material that is very similar in appearance to paper, but more resistant to water and grease.

It can be used in a double or triple complex with other materials with many different properties as it is only designed to improve the appearance of the packaging.

We currently recommend the digital printing technique for this material.

SOFT2TOUCH is suitable for packaging any type of product. The properties required to maintain the optimum conditions for the product depends on the materials that it is used in a complex with.

BIO FVSOL MATT N

BIO FVSOL MATT Black is a PVOH-based laminate that is totally biodegradable, compostable and bio-based in accordance with regulation EN 13432.

This laminate is very similar to the BIO FVSOL material, except that it is black with a matt finish.

It is characterised by its similarity to paper in terms of feel and roughness. This material can be used with HD flexographic or rotogravure printing, and the packaging will still be 100% biodegradable thanks to the biodegradable inks.

RFA

This material is used for vacuum-packed products, principally as a base, as it has good thermoforming properties and an oxygen barrier. It is generally used as a base for other structures.

APET PE METALLIC

Thermoformable material with polyethylene. High barrier option. Metallic effect inside and out, with the option of both sides gold, both sides silver, or one side gold and one silver. Peelability optional.

APET RESILIENT

Thermoformable material that welds against polyester. Very transparent and impact resistant. Peelability can be added. It is the ideal material for participating in SP GROUP’s Tray2Tray circular economy project. Available in a variety of colours.

NATURTRAY BTF APET PE HB

Thermoformable material with polyethylene and a high barrier. With paper on the outside to give the packaging a more natural and traditional look. Peelability can be added. Available in a wide range of paper finishes, with or without printing, and supports any printing technique.
